Following the 2002 reconnaissance survey, the company executed various follow-up field work in order to validate the previous results obtained on the Carroll-McDougall showing (1 168 g/t or 37,55 on Troy /t, reference: Ontario Ministry of Mines and Northern Development) and to investigate the gold potential of the property. Anomalous soil sites from the Alliance reconnaissance survey show east-north-east trends that may reflect mineralized splays buried under alluvial cover at the western boundary of the property. Although a reconnaissance survey, it demonstrated two key points: the eastern edge of relatively shallow depth-to-bedrock beneath sediments is at least 3 km east of the main district, and there is a remarkable correlation between gravity anomalies and anomalous metal geochemistry in the sage survey. |
