Recyclable

The ability of a product or material to be recovered from, or otherwise diverted from, the solid waste stream for the purposes of recycling. U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines indicate that a product may not be advertised as “recyclable” unless a viable, active reclamation system exists that is available to a majority of end users and collects and processes the product for recycling.
