Amongst the species at The Greenhouse you can see ash, hawthorn, common reed mace, common water soldier and a range of wildflowers forming a meadow area around the building.
Reed mace (often referred to bulrush) found in ponds, lakes and marshy areas is another useful plant due to its high starch content.
The lake is fringed by common reed and reed mace and the fluctuating water levels dictate what birds can be seen.
