A cargo of reformate was booked from Jubail to Iran.
When in operation, the Kaduna oil refinery supplied reformate and paraffin-based kerosine from Venezuela's Lagomar crude oil, for production of linear alkyl benzene (LAB), heavy alkylate and benzene.
The upgrade to the 120,000 barrels per day (bpd) refinery includes the addition of a reformer and a hydrotreater that will enable the refinery to produce up to 40,000 bpd of high-octane reformate -- a blending component for high-quality gasoline and low-sulphur naphtha -- is likely to be completed sometime in February, the sources said.
