Regale 

(1) In feudal Europe, the monopolistic right of the emperor or king or a right bestowed on an important feudal lord to receive certain kinds of income. Regalia principally included monetary, mining, salt, timber, judicial, and trade privileges. The incomes from vacant episcopal sees was an important imperial regale.

(2) In the plural, regalia, the external symbols of monarchical power, including the crown, scepter, orb, throne, and purple.
