(hydrology)
The behavior characteristic of the total amount of water involved in a drainage basin.
Analysis of the total volume of water involved with a lake, including water losses and gains, over a period of a year.
The flow characteristics of a stream with respect to velocity, volume, form of and alterations in the channel, capacity to transport sediment, and the amount of material supplied for transportation.
