a motorway junction of interconnecting roads and bridges designed to prevent streams of traffic crossing one another

(civil engineering)
A junction of two or more highways at a number of separate levels so that traffic can pass from one highway to another without the crossing at grade of traffic streams.
(electricity)
The current flowing into or out of a power system which is interconnected with one or more other power systems.
