| This latest project reprises and consolidates the theme of creative reuse, transforming a turn-of-the-century dockside depot on the edge of the River Seine into an armature for a snazzy new design and fashion museum. Noah Wyle reprises his role as the over-educated Flynn Carson, who traverses the world seeking out antiquities, real and mythical, for safe storage at the Metropolitan Library - or, at least, as safe a storage as can be managed by a place run by Bob Newhart and Jane Curtin. After a stirring call for freedom by poet Margaret Walker, the author reprises the injustices that led to massive protests--segregation, intimidation, the murder of Emmett Till--and offers vignettes featuring the little known (Jo Ann Robinson) as well as the famous (Rosa Parks). |
