Sep 1, 2008 Spanair, Pratt & Whitney The Spanair accident investigation continued to focus on the MD-82's two Pratt & Whitney JT8D-219s' thrust reversers.
It is the plane's thrust reversers, normally only used at touchdown, were deployed.
The contract is in addition to a contract signed last January which has BFGoodrich supplying complete thrust reversers and associated spare parts for the same series of aircraft.
