Damadian, president and chairman of FONAR, said, "Las Vegas is a moment of history for FONAR, It was there in Las Vegas in 1980 that FONAR unveiled the world's first commercial MRI, the QED 80, at the 1980 annual meeting of the American Roentgen Ray Society.
He also serves on the Board of Trustees of the Massachusetts General Physicians Organization, the Board of Chancellors of the American College of Radiology, the Board of Trustees of the Research and Education Foundation of the Radiological Society of North America, and is the President of the American Roentgen Ray Society.
He is also on the Board of Chancellors for the American College of Radiology and is the immediate past President of the American Roentgen Ray Society.
