roller conveyor [′rō·lər kən‚vā·ər]
(mechanical engineering)
A gravity conveyor having a track of parallel tubular rollers set at a definite grade, usually on antifriction bearings, at fixed locations, over which package goods which are sufficiently rigid to prevent sagging between rollers are moved by gravity or propulsion.
