Occasionally, the rutted tracks of a 4x4 cut through the sabkha u the soft and salty crust of quicksand tables that lie at the lowest troughs of the mountainous dunes u the vehicles invisible or long gone.
The commuters served in August this year through B1 Line (Bur Dubai station -- Al Sabkha station) touched 5,421 passengers, whereas it was 2,747 passengers in August last year.
This list of peculiar landscape features is consisted of the large mobile dunes, inland and coastal sabkha, the recently discovered "salt hummocks", the tidal embayment system, the stony deserts, and the elevated mesas and rocky outcrops.
