Salmi 

an urban-type settlement in Pitkiaranta Raion, Karelian ASSR. Situated on the northeastern shore of Lake Ladoga at the point where the Tulemaioki River flows into the lake, Salmi is a railroad junction. It has a milk plant and a livestock-breeding sovkhoz.
