salvo Rare (in legal documents) a saving clause; reservation salvo [′sal·vō] (ordnance) A simultaneous, or nearly simultaneous, discharge of shots from two or more closely placed guns or launchers against the same target. The release of several bombs or rocket missiles simultaneously, or in close train, from one or more aircraft, at a single target. The aggregate of shots, bombs, or rockets so discharged or released.
