| The method is based on the value of the exotherm (measured as cure enthalpy) obtained in the temperature region of approximately 175-250[degrees]C from a sample specimen when it is heated in DSC from 150-300[degrees]C at a scan rate of 20[degrees]C under inert atmosphere. These scanners will have a relatively slow scan rate, but are lightweight. The higher scan rate now permits measuring tubes of changing wall geometry, such as tapered and bump tubing. |
