Orbix is providing an extendable platform to interface with Dublin City Council's existing traffic management system, SCATS (Sydney Coordinated Adaptive Traffic System), to provide real-time traffic status information to a variety of clients located at central and remote traffic control and monitoring centers.
Once implemented, SCATS will provide the SCESC with improved functionality that will allow state workers to automate routine tasks; reduce paper processes; and improve efficiency, timeliness and data capture.
Ryder will also provide the functionality for suppliers to obtain bar-coded labels through SCATS to ensure authorized shipping.
