If you are fairly happy with your existing windows but find them lacking for insulation and draftproofing, you might like to consider a secondary glazing system which you can fit on the inside.
Windows should be double glazed and if they are single glazed you can use secondary glazing and hang a heavy curtain to lessen the draughts during the cold winter evenings.
