Its basic symptoms are fatigue, slowing down of physical and mental activity, somnolence, sluggishness, decreased memory, sensitivity to cold, puffiness of the face, edematous eyelids, dryness of skin, loss of hair, constipation, and lowered basal metabolism. The treatment for hypothyroidism is hormone therapy.
