The length of time that a resin or adhesive must be subjected to heat or pressure to cause them to set, that is, harden, gel, or cure.

setting time
1. The length of time required for gypsum plaster to harden after the addition of water.
2. The length of time during which a molded or extruded product must be subjected to heat and/or pressure to set the resin or adhesive.
