Shower Bath

An apparatus for spraying water on the body, usually from above.

Shower Bath 

a preventive health treatment during which the body is showered with water whose temperature, at first 32°-34°C, is gradually decreased to 30°–28°C in succeeding treatments. Shower baths are usually prescribed at the beginning of a course of hydropathy; later, the patient proceeds to more stimulating treatments.
