Sjögren's syndrome [′shō·grənz ‚sin‚drōm]
(immunology)
An autoimmune disease characterized by the destruction of salivary and lacrimal glands, damage by T lymphocytes within the glands may be accompanied by damage by immune complexes throughout the body.

Many patients (59%) progressed to an intermediate phase with pulmonary hypertension, thromboembolism, persistent myalgia and eosinophilia, skin edema, alopecia, and sicca syndrome.
Concomitant findings may include those symptoms and conditions previously mentioned, as well as weakness, mitral valve prolapse, tachycardia, hypermobility syndrome, cognitive problems (thinking, concentration, and memory), vertigo, tinnitus, tendinitis, bursitis, sicca syndrome (dry skin, dry eyes, dry mouth), reticular skin discoloration (skin mottling), temporomandibular joint dysfunction, sciatica, and lupus.
