In seismic analysis, a correction to eliminate the time differences between reflection times, resulting from changes in the outgoing signal from shot to shot.

The station then broadcasts a radio signal to all Differential GPS-equipped receivers in the nearby area, providing signal correction information for that area.
The wide area augmentation system is a tool developed by the FAA for use in air navigation that allows for signal corrections helping the GPS receiver reach a higher rate of accuracy to within 3 meters.
This is done through GPS signal corrections attained through a network of ground stations and satellites.
