slide scanner
A scanner that is specialized for scanning 35mm slides and film negatives. The slide or film is inserted into a single slot in the machine or into a tray, which is inserted. Many flatbed scanners are also able to scan slides. See scanner and transparency adapter.

Film & Slide Scanners Film scanners, often called slide scanners, can scan both slides and negatives.
I worked independently for the first 12 months, doing market research, writing a patent application, and building a prototype slide scanner.
Lastly the Slide Scanner can only scan slides, though there are some new models in the market that can handle negative strips also.
