smartphone OS
The five major smartphone operating systems are iOS (iPhone), Android, BlackBerry, Windows Phone and Symbian (Nokia). More Symbian smartphones have been sold worldwide than any other; however, in early 2011, Nokia announced that, going forward, it would feature Microsoft's phone platform. Following are 2010 smartphone sales according to Gartner. Palm's webOS, acquired by HP, is also a contender in the smartphone space, but its market share was not included in the report. See smartphone and Symbian.
