Bilharzias, also known as Schistosomiasis, or snail fever, is a primarily tropical parasitic disease caused by the larvae of one or more of five types of flatworms or blood flukes known as schistosomes.
Bilharzia, also called schistosomiasis or snail fever, occurs when people bathe or wade in river or lake water inhabited by tiny snails that are the parasite's intermediate hosts.
Apart from the dangerous animals who live here, there's rampant HIV/Aids, malaria and snail fever to worry about.
