There were excellent over-lapping source beds for the northern fields, where deeper drilling in domes (Kirkuk and NW Iraq, Ain Zalah-Butmah, and on Asmari fields in Iran) gave evidence of vertical migration emplacement of Tertiary oil.
It is thought that the mineralized horizons or quartzites in the lower Revett were the source beds for the vein mineralization seen in the Lucky Luke adit.
It was established that there were excellent overlapping source beds for the northern fields, where deeper drilling in domes (Kirkuk and NW Iraq, Ain Zalah-Butmah, as well as on many Asmari producing structures in Iran), gave evidence of the vertical migration emplacement of Tertiary oil.
