spectrochemical analysisAny of a group of chemical analysis methods that depend on measurement of the wavelength and intensity of electromagnetic radiation. It is used chiefly to determine the arrangement of atoms and electrons in molecules on the basis of the amounts of energy absorbed during changes in their structure or motion. In more common usage, it usually refers to ultraviolet (UV) and visible emission spectroscopy or to UV, visible, and infrared (IR) absorption spectrophotometry. How to thank TFD for its existence? | Grimes has directed the director of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) to establish the Defense Spectrum Organization as a center of excellence for radio frequency spectrum analysis, planning, and support. Chapter 4 continues in a partially similar vein, but here less familiar methods of time series analysis such as phase spectra, complex demodulation, wavelet analysis and singular spectrum analysis are presented.
