The drawknife and spokeshave are essential tools used to peel logs and make tenons.
It was never finished, perhaps because of a stone flaw, but is believed to have been used as a spokeshave, to shape handles and such.
Another passing of years and I finally took the time to finish off the edges with spokeshave and sandpaper, and rubbed in a coat of linseed oil.
