Beldam Crossley, the UK's leading packing and static seals specialist, has announced a new contract with Shiphams Valves (Shiphams).
The Type 2874NE is an elastomer-free seal outfitted with inert flexible graphite secondary static seals to provide for higher temperature capability and a greater chemical compatibility range.
On the basis of the information developed using the compression stress relaxation method, ISO 3884(A), the design engineer is, however, still not able to create the right geometry for a static seal because all measurements are made at the temperature of the aging.
