The system includes a multilayer storage tank that is separated into a number of temperature zones and steadily piped to the steriliser through a heat exchanger.
Temperature zones are prevented from mixing too quickly with the help of separation planes and the stored energy can be used to both heat and cool the steriliser.
In the case of Glanbia Meats, this enabled engineers to change the hot water system over to the EasiHeat [TM] packages in a single weekend, and they now provide over 220 litres per minute of hot water for the sterilisers and another 220 litres for handwashing.
