surfer's voice

On the telephone, the sound of the person's voice on the other end who is listening to you (more or less) while browsing the Web and answering e-mail. A surfer's voice contains a lot of "uh-huh," "yeah," "sure" and other such responses, along with the occasional tapping of keys in the background. The sound of the keyboard is often the first clue if the person is clever enough to make the "uh-huhs" sound meaningful.
