Vivendi "concluded an acquisition contract with Swarth Investments LLC, Swarth Investments Holdings LLC and Global Village Telecom (Holland) BV, the founders and controlling shareholders of GVT (Holding) SA," the company said in a statement.
NASDAQ: ECIL), announced today that it has completed its previously announced merger pursuant to the Agreement and Plan of Merger dated as of July 1, 2007 (the "Merger Agreement"), under which ECI has been acquired by affiliates of the Swarth Group and certain funds that have appointed Ashmore Investment Management Limited as their investment manager, for a total value of approximately $1.
It said GVT's founding and controlling shareholders, Swarth Group and Global Village Telecom BV of Holland, had agreed to sell at least at 20 percent of the 30 percent stake they hold in the Brazilian company.
