Television Microscope

an instrument in which the image of a small object obtained from a microscope by microprojection is projected onto the photosensitive element of a television camera tube and converted into a sequence of electrical signals. The signals can be used to reproduce an enlarged image on the screen of a kinescope. The television microscope makes it possible to increase or decrease the image brightness and regulate contrast by varying only electrical values in the transmitting circuit. (SeeMICROSCOPE: Types.)
