While attendance at the overall show (which also included NEWCAST for casting designers and purchasers, METEC for metallurgical technology and THERMPROCESS for industrial furnaces and thermic production processes) was down from 96,000 visitors in 1999 to more than 70,000 this year, the mood was one of excitement over a growing global metalcasting industry.
