A keyboard key used to move the cursor to the top of the screen or file or to the previous word or beginning of line. See home button.


home key [′hōm ‚kē]
(engineering)
One of the eight keys on a keyboard on which the typist's fingers normally rest in the starting position for touch typing. Also known as guide key.
