tri-tet oscillator [′trī‚tet ′äs·ə‚lād·ər]
(electronics) Crystal-controlled, electron-coupled, vacuum-tube oscillator circuit which is isolated from the output circuit through use of the screen grid electrode as the oscillator anode; used for multiband operation because it generates strong harmonics of the crystal frequency.
