For histomorphologic studies the sections were stained with haematoxylin-eosin and Masson's trichromic and observed at the magnification of 20 x with a light microscope Leica DM 4500B.
Longitudinal and transversal sections (5 [micro]m) were prepared of the bypobranchial gland, and according to the methodology by Humason (1979), stained with Ferric Hematoxylin-Eosin or Mallory Trichromic stain.
Histological study In order to observe the damage caused by the different monoterpenic derivatives in the larvae recovered dead at the end of the in vivo assays, we carried out their histological study applying the hematoxylin--eosin or Masson's trichromic dyes (Garcia del Moral, 1993) to 3 [micro]m thick sections of the parasites.
