VIEW OF AGES OLD Talkin Tarn, south of Brampton in Cumbria, has been fed by underground streams since it was formed 10,000 years ago, but it was photographed only recently, on a Saturday, by reader Joan Thirlaway from Gilsland.
Since many toxic cleaners are substances that cannot be appropriately processed by septic systems or sewage, they pollute our rivers and oceans as well as underground streams.
These include tube-like natural caves, underground streams, and below-ground spaces used by brewing, mushroom farming, cheese ripening, silica mining, and flour-milling businesses, as well as utility industries.
