(petroleum engineering)
The volume of vapor to which a specified amount of liquid would be equivalent at designated standard conditions (for example, 14.65 psia and 60°F, or 15.5°C); used in the petroleum industry to calculate the specific gravity of fluids from gas-condensate wells.
