vaporizer [′vā·pə‚rīz·ər]
(chemical engineering)
A process vessel in which a liquid is heated until it vaporizes; heat can be indirect (steam or heat-transfer fluid) or direct (hot gases or submerged combustion).

The 15th oxygen production unit will produce 3,550 tonnes of oxygen per day and has its own liquid oxygen storage tanks and vaporisers which can provide up to ten hours of back-up oxygen production should any of the other 14 units, individually producing 2,500 tonnes of oxygen a day, be required to shut down.
