b. Horticulture stockbreeding a strain of animal or plant produced by artificial breeding

a. entertainment consisting of a series of short unrelated performances or acts, such as comedy turns, songs, dances, sketches, etc.
b. (as modifier): a variety show

Soon the sitcom may go the way of the western, the dramatic anthology and the musical variety show.
Following the success of his Raising Arizona tribute, Jason Lee has sold a variety show called The Stereo Sound Agency to the MTV with buddy Chris "Dune" Pastras as the host.
The winners were announced by Donny Osmond, whose 1970s variety show will be released on DVD next year, and Home Media Retailing publisher Don Rosenberg.
