| CoSeal is a resorbable synthetic sealant for use in sealing vascular grafts. The elastic properties of the material, coupled with low thrombogenicity and exceptional physical and mechanical properties, has led to considerable research effort over the last 20 years, aimed at the development of polyurethane vascular grafts (ref. Wilson of the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor, some of their findings may lead to improved success with small-diameter vascular grafts -- often required by diabetics who have damage to small blood vessels. |
