video calling A visual communication between two people. Skype popularized video calling, which enables any two individuals in the world who have access to computers, the Skype software and decent Internet connections to place a video call to each other. Aiming at the enterprise in 2010, Skype introduced a beta version of its software that lets five people participate in a video call.Video calling and "video chat" mean two people are communicating with each other. "Group video calling" and "group video chat" is the same as "videoconferencing," which means that two or more end points can communicate simultaneously. See Skype, videoconferencing and videophone.
