videophile

Also found in: Dictionary/thesaurus, Wikipedia 0.01 sec.
videophile
An individual who is very interested and enthusiastic about TV image quality. A videophile typically enjoys a large, high-quality HDTV for viewing and may add separate scalers and noise reducers to enhance the video experience. Contrast with audiophile.

Video Enhancements
Algolith's Dragonfly lets videophiles enhance their home theaters with technologies typically only found in the film studio. Before and after frames show how the video image is improved. Although these functions may be built into a TV set, the quality of the circuits generally cannot compare to a separate, high-end component like the Dragonfly.
