videophile

Also found in: Dictionary/thesaurus, Wikipedia 0.09 sec.

An individual who is very interested and enthusiastic about TV image quality. A videophile typically enjoys a large, high-quality HDTV for viewing and may add separate scalers and noise reducers to enhance the video experience. Contrast with audiophile.

Video Enhancements

Although these functions may be built into a TV set, the quality of the circuits generally cannot compare to a separate, high-end component like the Dragonfly.
