Virtualisation allows a company to purchase one high end hardware device to run 20 virtual operating systems instead of purchasing 20 commoditized lower-end devices, one for each single operating platform.
The new software accelerates the porting process by introducing the Synergy Framework, a virtual operating system (OS) and hardware abstraction layer that allows several wireless technologies to be run in the same environment.
Currently, ONE's OSI protocol stack is available on the following platforms: Windows NT, AIX, Solaris, VxWorks, Lynx, pSOS, VRTX, OS-9000, and Virtual Operating System.
