A transmission channel or subchannel that has the bandwidth necessary to carry human voice. See voice grade.

(communications)
A communication channel having sufficient bandwidth to carry voice frequencies intelligibly; the minimum bandwidth for an analog voice channel is about 3000 hertz for good intelligibility.
