The mission--traverse 229 miles of the Appalachian Trail from where it crosses the New Jersey and Pennsylvania state borders, known as Delaware Water Gap to hiking enthusiasts, all the way through Pennsylvania to PenMar, at the Maryland border. The first boarding hotel in Delaware Water Gap was built in 1829, and it's still a thriving resort town today. |
