The themed event, Three-and-a-Half Reservoirs For Christmas, is a 10 mile walk taking in part of the Trans-Pennine trail and some Yorkshire Water paths all in the festive spirit.
I have enormous admiration for Richard, who always managed to find the best routes around the open water paths.
The Crummock Water path ( a favourite for hikers wanting a lower level walk ( was spreading across an important wetland habitat and had become very boggy in places.
