A password that is easy to detect both by humans and by computer. People often use obvious passwords such as the names of their children or their house number in order not to forget them. However, the simpler the password, the easier to detect. See strong password.

Computers protected by weak passwords, unsecured shares and without latest security updates are more likely to be infested with Conficker worm.
If the shares were protected with a weak password, then Conficker might still be able to spread as it is programmed to guess weak passwords.
Though the breach had more to do with weak passwords and password resets, the incident has nevertheless drawn fresh attention to broader security and privacy concerns related to cloud computing.
