The style of graphical user interface invented at Xerox PARC, popularised by the Apple Macintosh and now available in other varieties such as the X Window System, OSF/Motif, NeWS, RISC OS and Microsoft Windows.

The advent of molly-coddling central heating has wimpishly made them that bit too sensitive to the cold.
We can't shut down our coal-fired power stations because people would end up sitting in the dark and cold, but shareholders are behaving wimpishly (and rather greedily, I have to say) over selling the important bit of British Energy to Electricite De France so they can build us nice clean nuclear power stations to replace them.
However, they've lost the confidence of tourists around the world who've decided, a bit wimpishly in my view, to give the place a miss.
